The brain is a beautiful thing. It's capable of connection far beyond what we know of, hence why neuroscience is such a debatable topic. Chance is forced to face his own subconscious in many ways - it tries to trick him, use them, drive them both to insanity. But the mind doesn't mean to do this, it's only an act of survival - what it is programmed to believe is best for the vessel it controls. It may deceive and contort what is reality, but, it is trying to be kind. When the vessel gains control over a part of their subconscious however, the ecosystem of thought begins to lose full control. The vessel can tap into what the mind doesn't want them to perceive, and this can be even more detrimental to the host. What might happen then? When the thing that only wanted to protect you from something that can make you worse, becomes the very thing that starts your downfall? Idk yall I haven't written something in ages , ':3
