Fics like Chronic Illness

His leg hurts. It’s the pressure from the storm outside, it makes the scarring all over his body ache, but the port in his thigh is the worst. Everything else is like static, and he barely spares them any thought. There’s another boom of thunder, and he jolts, a trauma response, agony reigniting in his leg. He jolts with it, just slightly, gasping quietly behind his teeth. He is trying very hard not to wake Winry beside him. He wants her to rest as much as she can, what with her being pregnant and all. It’s been more difficult for her this time around, and the doctors had said she shouldn’t be on her feet too often. Edward knows that if she hears him, she’s going to want to help him, and he won’t be able to stop her. ----- Day 13 - Fullmetal Alchemist - Edward Elric - Chronic Illness
