Fics like Not the Reunion You Hoped For

Set during Httyd2 Hiccup’s world is turned upside down when a stranger appears, claiming to be his long-lost mother. Conflicted and incredulous — after all, she was declared dead twenty years ago — he feels only anger, sorrow, and betrayal. Unable to face the truth, he runs, lost in his emotions, until Stoick and Gobber track him down and confirm her identity. Yet even then, Hiccup’s heart remains heavy, scarred by doubt and hurt. Just as he struggles to process this revelation, Drago arrives, and chaos erupts, leaving everything — and everyone — teetering on the edge.
