Fics like Love You Like I Mean It
It felt nice. But sometimes, in between the pauses in conversations or the moments spent waiting for the next text, it felt a bit like regret as Seungmin wondered if this is how things would’ve been if they had stayed in touch. It reminded him too much of going from strangers to friends to something more so quickly, of trying so hard to interpret Hyunjin’s signals while not even understanding his own feelings, of craving intimacy while fearing it more than anything all at the same time, then of letting it all go in the hopes that it would finally make sense. But one thing was certain: Seungmin had missed Hyunjin. He had missed him more than anything. Or: a budding romance yet to flourish, complicated feelings left unexplored, a childhood best friend and a college roommate, jealousy, insecurity, self-acceptance, and how Seungmin must navigate it all after returning home from a year abroad.
