Fics like Maple & Steel (A Golden Cage)

After a year of hard-won trust with the Thunderbolts + Sam, John Walker re-presents as an Omega—right in the debrief, with Val watching. The Department gives him 48 hours to choose an Alpha or lose his badge and his son. Sam offers a shield, Bob offers a home, and Bucky offers devotion. John chooses the lesser evil… and learns what a gilded cage feels like.
