Fics like The Waiting Kind of Love

Danny’s spent years getting used to the waiting. Waiting while Steve throws himself into danger. Waiting in hospital rooms and silent cars, hoping for the worst not to happen. But when Steve goes dark on a mission one night, all that patience snaps—and when he comes back alive, bruised, and grinning, Danny doesn’t yell. He grabs. He holds. He kisses. And then he makes sure Steve never forgets what waiting like that does to him.
