Carmen Berzatto's first Christmas as owner of The Original Beef Of Chicagoland is set to be nothing special; staying at home and avoiding going to his family's annual Christmas party at all costs, lest he disappoint them all again with his lack of a girlfriend. Charlotte is a regular customer who wishes for family in her lonely life. When the two meet up and chat one November night, they hatch an idea: Carmen and Charlotte could go to the party together, pretending to be dating. Is it outrageous? Yes. Is it something ripped from a crappy sitcom's Very Special Christmas Episode? Also yes. But it could give both of them exactly what they're looking for in one fell swoop with no real cost to either of them. What could possibly go wrong? Ongoing, will update when chapters are done.
