Fics like Before the Fireworks Fade

"Player 093 cost me a fortune. Let's try a new horse." What happens when a powerful VIP with a vendetta makes a request that compromises the fair world of the games? What happens when the facilities welcome their youngest player yet? Seo Haeun is fifteen. Normal life. No debt, no desperation, no spark driving her to wake up, no reason to be anywhere near the games. No reason except the painfully human craving for a change. For something different in her monotone life, for something that jolts her awake with adrenaline and makes her feel alive. In a place designed to strip you of humanity, connections are all that's left. Connections that Haeun clings to like the bloodied tracksuit she wore— strangers marked only by numbers, each worth a hundred thousand won. How will the games change around the first teenager to participate? (The premise of a VIP requesting a player is heavily inspired by NotTheJediWay123's "Misanthropy"! Go check it out!)
