Fics like want you to be the one that i come home to

“What are you doing after this?” Benji asks, in his bed at the hospital room, his discharge papers scattered over the table in front of him. Ethan tilts his head, puzzled, and his hair falls into his eyes in a way that Benji really shouldn’t be staring at but does anyway. “I mean, are you going back to DC, or staying solo, or–” “I don’t really have any plans. No place of my own.” Ethan shakes his head, and this is dangerous, this is dangerous because it means that it might actually work. “The doctors said that you need someone to keep an eye on you after the surgery, and I’ve got nothing else to do, so if you need anything, I could help out–” “Like moving in together?” God. Quite possibly one of the worst sentences he’s ever uttered. A six year old could do better than that. But Ethan smiles once he hears the words, looks a little excited, even. “Yeah. If you wanted me to, of course.” -- ethan moves in with benji to help with his recovery, and ends up staying. this suits benji just fine.
