Fics like Road to Ptolemaea

When a human consumes the blood (by their own choice or not) without receiving the accompanied piercing kiss, the whites of their eyes bleed into a sickly darkness. Those were rare though not at all absent from the world of night. Alucard had seen his fair share of crimson, ice blue, amber gold the same as his, and now emerald, but the irises stood out the most. He’d never encountered a vampire with serpentine eyes before. -- 70 years before the events of Nocturne, Olrox and Alucard embark on a cross-country journey to hunt down a sadistic and illusive Spanish vampire from Olrox’s past.
