Fics like Hell is Preferable to Nihility

“On the seventy-fifth anniversary, as a reminder to the rebels that the strongest among them were left to make the most difficult decisions, the male and female tributes will be chosen by their district’s pool of Victors. This year, there will be no volunteers.” or One mentor nearly tasted back-to-back victories. Now she’s prepared to restore her district to glory. Another pulled a Victor from the arena last year. She’s ready to repeat the feat, and prove that her kids are true contenders. One Victor survived a Quarter Quell at thirteen. This year, she’s mentoring in a second one at thirty-eight. A fourth mentor wants his daughter to enter the ring. He knows that she is the secret to breaking the drought of Victors from their home. Yet another will do anything to pull a Victor. She’s choosing someone who can come out, without leaving the best parts of themselves behind in the arena. And the sixth? Well, he’ll be glad when his chosen tribute dies, and there is nothing left for him to care about. The Seventy-fifth Games are upon us, and the twist and the playing field are entirely different. In a year where Victors select their tributes, anything goes.
