“Hey, uh—” Hansol looked up at him with a sheepish smile. “I don’t think I’ve, you know, seen you before. Do you work here, or…?” Seungkwan blinks. Right. Hansol didn’t have a clue who Seungkwan was. Not a single fucking one. And it was too far-fetched to assume he was at the Oscars as an actor, apparently. Jesus Christ, ‘do you work here?’ Did he look so out of place that it seemed like the more likely option for him to be a goddamn waiter? When Seungkwan receives the letter offering him a major role in an anticipated dystopian film, he believes it to be—wants it to be—a joke. Some elaborate plot from the universe to ridicule him. Because the other protagonist, the counterpart to his character, is played by none other than Chwe Hansol. The person he has spent actively hating for the last four years. He accepts anyway, of course. Because the one thing that’s worse than acting alongside Hansol, is accepting defeat in this unspoken battle of theirs.
