The morning after Buck and Eddie share a bed for the first time. ----- “I liked it,” Eddie says, pulling his thumb back just a little to coast back over Buck’s bottom lip, spreading the spit to make it shiny. “I like it.” Buck audibly swallows. “What?” he asks, but not like he didn’t hear. Like he wants it more than he thinks he’s allowed, and so he asks, to make sure Eddie is certain. “I missed it,” Eddie continues. “Sharing a bed with someone. Not being alone.”
