He prayed to the silence, to the gods, the universe – anything or anyone who might listen – that this time a miracle would happen and it would take. He prayed that this time the universe would finally pity him and let him feel life growing within him. It never did. Of course it didn’t. Witchers were sterile. Everyone knew that. ------ OR, Geralt is secretly desperate for a child. Eskel is very openly not. But that has never stopped Geralt from hoping for the impossible. With a love like theirs, how could a child be anything but a blessing? When decades worth of praying yields unexpected results, Geralt and Eskel's love is put to the test.
