Fics like Soft Steps, Sharper Hearts

For weeks, the cat only watched—perched on rooftops, crouched beneath benches, always just out of reach. Arisu never understood why it followed him. It never begged for food or affection. It simply stared, like it was waiting for something. Then came the blood. The fence. The silence. Arisu acted without thinking. He cradled the cat to his chest, not knowing that what he was saving wasn’t just a stray—but something far more complicated. Because Chishiya hadn’t meant to get involved. Observation was enough. Curiosity, a game. He wanted to prove that kindness was weakness, that Arisu's quiet goodness was just another mask waiting to slip. But now Arisu's hands won’t stop trembling, and Chishiya’s heart won’t stop racing. And neither of them are sure what comes next. or Psychology student Arisu notices the strange cat that keeps appearing in his life. Chishiya had only meant to observe—just another test of human nature. When an injury forces their paths to truly cross, nothing stays the same. (Updates every Tuesday) IMP. currently on hiatus
