Fics like he came to town, he came rambling in

“I am nothing like you, moron,” Scout seethed, jabbing Spy in the chest with a bandaged finger. “You don’t ever get to say that, you hear me?” Spy scoffed, shoving him away. “No, you aren’t. The stealthiest, smartest, most powerful mercenary on this team versus the most obnoxious, useless, noisy, loudmouthed brat in the country? I think not.” Several mercs grumbled their disagreement at the ‘smartest’ and ‘most powerful’ bits, but if Scout or Spy had even noticed them walk in at all, they didn’t show it. Scout’s fists balled at his sides as he glared daggers at his father. “You want quiet, old man?” “Please. If I never hear another word out of you, it would be too soon.” Scout only gritted his teeth before the match began. And God knows he followed through. --- AKA the one where Scout leaves the world behind and blurs the line between life and death to win an argument against his deadbeat dad
