Fics like A Mother's Misunderstanding

Penelope hates all the suitors. They are all so different from the kind and gentle husband she loves and from the sweet son she had raised. She hates the brutal and violent ones like Eurymachus, and the false and sycophantic ones like Amphinomus, because, in the end, they all represente the same thing: her love had not returned to her. She held them all in equal disdain, until Antinous outshone them all. He became her most persistent suitor, showering her with compliments and lingering longer than he should near the royal family. But was it really her that the man wanted? Or, the one where Penelope thinks Antinous is trying to win her over, when he’s just trying to make his future mother-in-law like him.
