Fics like Crimes, Confessions, and a Hostage in My Basement

#The Gilt Trip Trilogy Book 1: Crimes, Confessions, and a Hostage in my Basement Synopsis You've heard this story before. Some poor, soft-eyed civilian gets kidnapped by an unhinged mafia boss with trust issues and a six-pack. Yawn. But what happens when the civilian does the kidnapping instead? Hong Joshua is twenty-seven, painfully average, and a legal advisor who's barely qualified to negotiate his phone bill-let alone a hostage situation. And yet, somehow, he ends up with Lee Seokmin-the CEO of Corvex Group, the underworld's worst-kept secret and walking human crime syndicate-tied to a rusty chair in his basement. Joshua isn't quite sure how he got here. One minute, he's having a very delicious sandwich at a restaurant. The next, there's a bound and gagged mafia boss in his basement, tied to a chair that's older than his career. Oops. Now comes the real problem: what the hell do you do with a mafia kingpin in your basement? Feed him snacks? Call the cops? Negotiate like you actually have leverage? Try not to get murdered? Welcome to the world's worst kidnapping-no ransom, no escape plan, and absolutely no clue what happens next.
