“Hey.” Buck greets him without looking up from his screen. “How do you feel about opening a joint bank account together?” Eddie, who was mid-sip of his juice, chokes and almost spits it across the room. “What?” “Yeah, I’m thinking it’ll just be easier than, like, transferring each other money every month for rent and the shopping,” Buck continues. “… Right,” Eddie replies, wary. Bank accounts are a big deal—one of the only things his father taught him. Eddie has only shared a bank account with one other person, and he was married to her. Well, come to think of it, the situations aren’t that different. Sure, he and Buck aren’t married. But they do live together. Plus, Buck is basically another parent to his son in all the ways that matter. Maybe it does make the most sense.
