Fics like it's not love (it might be closer to despair)

When Evie moved to Mistria, she hadn’t expected everything to be all sunshine and rainbows. The adventurer’s guild had emphasized that this was a special case—Mistria desperately needed help after an earthquake ravaged the town. Lot’s of it. Loads more than what one person could feasibly do. But Evie is always up for a challenge with a can-do attitude. But for March, when Evie moved to Mistria, he anticipated the worst. Some vagrant freeloader that would seem like a blessing at first but then would turn tail and run the moment things got hard and he wasn’t about to let that happen. It would seem that fate has other things in mind for the pair of them. A retelling of what we know of the story (so far!) with minor tweaks and additions to flesh it out. March's POV heavily inspired by the song "despair" by leo.
