Lux, by virtue of being in love with her, had long since silenced those pesky alarms. “What do you want to hear?” “I don’t know,” Jinx answered. “Just give me a story, one that every Demacian would know.” “Well,” Lux said, “there is the story of the two sisters…” “Like me and Vi!” “No,” Lux chuckled. “They’re Demacia’s twin deities. One is the aspect of justice, the other a patron of the banished and outcast.” “Like me and Vi!” “No,” Lux repeated, though she struggled to explain the differences. “They’re—“ “Do they have a tragic backstory?” “Well, yes, but that’s fairly common—“ “Did their parents die horribly? Were they embodiments of justice and revolution, too?” Lux winced. “Let’s not get ahead of ourselves—“ “Did the justice sister abandon her sister to sell herself out to topside?” “Hey!” Vi called from across the cabin. “I didn’t sell myself out!” Lux didn’t hear her. The alarms had failed to warn her and now disaster was assaulting her mind. She was dating an aspect.
