“Jax?” the second voice says. His eyes snap toward her voice, and he sees a strange, cartoonish jester. She's looking at him with a furrowed brow and worried eyes. “Are you… okay?” It clicks into place. They are talking to him. Jax is him. “Why are you calling me…” he starts to say, then trails off when he realizes. He can't remember his name. Or: Jax loses all memory of his time in the circus.
