Baby kept his gaze averted when he spoke again. “…What do you…like. About her.” “I'm not sure. She looks cute?” Judging by the frown on Baby’s face and the hardening of his eyes, that might've been the wrong thing to say. “Mystery, I'm cute.” Baby usually argued that he wasn't and was often quite affronted that he had to play the part as an idol. But he had also learned that the cute and subsequently defenseless portrayal appealed to Mystery’s canine nature. This blunt delivery and his naturally lower voice, paired with his, definitely very round and babyish face, left an image that Mystery was sure many people would pay to see. “She looks like a bug. A praying mantis.” There was a snap of teeth by his ear. That startled a laugh out of him. Those were not the words he had been expecting. Baby’s hand flexed around his jaw threateningly. Mystery smiled helplessly and wound his arms tighter around Baby’s waist and Baby allowed himself to be pulled down until he was straddling Mystery’s lap.
