Fics like Command & Conquer: Martyrs & Monsters

The first half of the 15’th century was dark time for France: after losing countless lives to a decade of losses and humiliation it stood devoid of a true king. Worse yet, England ravaged and occupies large parts of it as the fractured kingdom had failed to leave the losing side of the war for decades; Anglo-Burgundian raiders pillaged and burned their way though the French countryside, forcing people to flee their homes lest they be slaughtered or taken as captives to be trafficked and used by their enemies as they saw fit. Not all hope was lost however, Jeanne d’Arc stepped forth to oppose the invaders, guided by the voices of saints and her divine mandate to crown Charles and finally end decades of English oppression, she rode to Orleans to finally break the siege. Deep within the forgotten ruins and forests of France the brotherhood of Nod stirred to action, No longer content with bleeding his enemies from the shadows and deeply intrigued with Jeanne’s divine visions, Kane sent forth his most loyal servants to assist her efforts, force England away from his secret strongholds and glean the secrets hidden deep within her mind. The reclamation of France had officially begun.
