Fics like Biology One

“There he is,” Bernard said. “You flying in all dramatic just for us?” “Maybe,” Kon said, rubbing the back of his neck. “Aw, he’s shy tonight,” Bernard teased, standing up and padding over. “Don’t worry, we’ll ruin that soon enough.” Tim snorted behind him, and Kon blinked because—okay—maybe he wasn’t the only one who was nervous. There was a charge in the air now. Something unspoken. They were all aware of what tonight meant. Bernard got close enough to rest a hand on Kon’s chest, just lightly. Like he was checking to see if Kon was real, or maybe just giving him the chance to pull back if he needed to. He didn’t. “Seriously,” Bernard said, a little softer now. “We figured we’d talk about what everyone’s comfortable with. What’s on the table. What’s not. And then—” he smiled, eyes flicking between Kon and Tim, “—we get to the fun.” Kon nodded. His mouth was dry, but not from fear. Just anticipation. “Cool,” he said. “Let’s talk.” Or 25k words of Kon freaking out over his biology being different and Bernard and Tim being stupidly chill.
