Fics like Retribution of Reality

They are so small, weaker and even more fragile than he is, like the light of tiny flickering candles waiting to be snuffed out by the faintest breeze. They don't do much besides eat and cry, demanding her undivided attention at all times of the day, and yet Hyuna loves them more than anything. More than herself, more than her freedom, and certainly more than him. Luka cannot understand why. He glares, but the baby doesn't seem to understand his ire, simply staring up at him with eyes like his, wide and curious. The baby giggles, much to his confusion, smiling up at him despite the obvious dislike he is trying to convey to the little thing, and something odd stirs in his chest, warm like he'd swallowed a miniature sun. His expression softens a little. Perhaps he can understand, if only a little, why Hyuna seems to like them so much. After escaping with Hyuna and unwillingly joining the rebellion, Luka learns to be human.
