Fics like Future Songs and Flying Dreams (Hand in Hand)

Set right after the end of the movie, Mrs. Brisby is still recovering and her hands are still covered and tender. But she leaves her home to pick fruits and berries for her children to make them something nice. Because after such a big scare, how could she not give them something sweet to nibble on? So she leaves for the pickings. And just as she leaves, Justin arrives at her doorstep. When the berries started offering some resistance to her stirring, she finally slowed down. And grabbing a spoon, she dipped it into the sweet paste and lifted it to check the consistency. Just right. She smiled, and then, on a whim and some bout of bravery, she rounded the table to stand by Justin's side and offered him the spoon. He didn't say anything while it trembled in her hold, only lifted a hand and hovered it below hers to catch what dropped.
