Sixteen-year-old Shawn Spencer has been living on the streets for a couple years, scraping by however he can—pickpocketing, running cons, doing sex work when he’s desperate. He’s quick with a lie and quicker with an exit. The police know him as a nuisance, maybe even a liability. But somehow, he keeps being in the right (or wrong) place at the right time—giving info on active cases, identifying suspects, catching details the cops missed. Sometimes he’s a witness. Sometimes he’s a suspect. Sometimes he’s the kid who just won’t shut up at a crime scene. And the most annoying part? He’s always right.
