Fics like The Worst of All Blessings

Well, this was not how he thought his night would be going. Blood. Where did it even come from? The smell, the feeling of blood dripping from talons, metallic and hot to the touch. The sight of it glinting in the moonlight. The taste. Talons? That was new. The blood was coming from her, hinted with cinnamon, coffee, and home. He wanted more of that scent, but he could definitely do without the blood that had accompanied it. Why was she bleeding? Why did that fill him with panic? Hermione Granger was barely standing in front of him and was bleeding. He watched the witch back up further into the forest, like he was a wounded animal that'd would retaliate from being cornered. Eyes wide- looking at the creature that would fell her if she didn’t run into the bramble. This was not how he saw his night going.
