“We want an authentic reaction for the first time you meet your partner, so we’re only taking one shot,” the producer explains. “Just pretend like the cameras aren’t even here!” Easier said than done, Heather thinks, looking at the five individual crew members, all with heavy recording equipment slung over their shoulders. But she can do this. This, comparatively, is far less daunting than jumping off cliffs into shark-infested waters, or leaping out of rickety airplanes with old parachutes, or even eating Chef’s questionable food Feeling a little braver, she puts her hand on the doorknob and twists. A tall, tanned man has his back turned towards her, and for a second relief washes over her; even from behind she can tell he's handsome, at least- He turns around, and Heather’s stomach bottoms out. Alejandro looks about as stunned as she feels. // or: five years after Total Drama comes to an end, Heather agrees to compete on the newest season of the hottest dance competition, hoping to bury her connection to the show and Alejandro. You'll never guess who her partner is. My take on a post-TDWT Aleheather reconciliation.
