On the cusp of losing his job at his music magazine for an inappropriate prank on a coworker, Lars Ulrich is sent to Hawaii to write about the Pipeline Masters—surfing, of all things! He secures an interview with Kirk Hammett, a pro surfer whose two-year press absence provokes a lot of questions Lars wants to find the answers to.
