Fics like lives in a dream

For one second, John lets himself imagine it. He’d grab – no, he’d cradle Paul’s slim fingers in his own, and pull him closer until he could feel the heat of his body. Paul would look down at him, through his infuriatingly long lashes, and his mouth would be slightly parted. Not in surprise, but with a smile. When their lips finally touch, Paul would sigh into the kiss happily. Or: Paul is not very affectionate. John is fine with it, since they're not a couple, or anything.
