Fics like Break Veil

‘“I missed this,” he added quietly. “Having you up there with us.” That admission hit Steve like a chord struck too deep. His lips parted, a hundred different replies fluttering through his mind — jokes, deflections — but none of them felt right. He swallowed, meeting Bucky’s eyes, and finally just told the truth. “I missed it too. Being here. Being with you.”’ — Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes grew up tangled in each other’s shadows, utterly inseparable. Years later after Steve left for college, they reconnect through music, writing songs that bleed with everything Bucky's never been able to say out loud, and feelings that Steve never even knew of. Alongside Sam Wilson and Clint Barton, their band Break Veil was born from scars, silence, and second chances. As fame builds, Steve and Bucky must learn to navigate the spotlight, their music, and the after performance adrenaline rushes that ampliy everything inside of them. Some songs save you. Some songs heal you. And some— Some are love letters in disguise. (Complete ♡)
