2012 was unarguably the worst year for Jack Abbot. He spent New Year’s Eve with his wife, both legs, and a best friend, but woke up on Christmas with a widower tag on his back, a prosthetic leg, and a live-in ED attending. 2012 was also a horrible year for Michael Robinavitch. He had two excruciating phone calls with the Red Cross and almost lost Jack in between. At least they got to spend a couple more New Year’s Eves together. *The stories make sense wherever you start in the series. But I highly recommend reading them in order for the best continuity ;)
