Fics like Cherry Pie Conundrum

Ace eavesdropped on the Housewarden discussing next year's arrangements with the third years and the conversation makes him ponder what kind of future is in store for him. As he reflects back on his first year at NRC, he can’t pinpoint any specific interest or an incident that proved he had what it took to become a powerful mage like they were. He couldn’t see himself fighting to protect others, or being a leader, or throwing himself into work. In fact, he couldn’t see anything when he thought of what he wanted to do. Because every time he thinks ahead, he sees anyone but himself. Does he even have a future? Or Ace starts growing anxious about the future. The upperclassmen of Heartslabyul notices and is there to help quell his fears.
