Fics like ELYSIUM

A hero protects. Faces the impossible so others don’t have to. That’s who Clark Kent is—not because he must, but because he believes he should. For him, being Superman was never about power. It was about choosing the world. Madelyne Prescott chose the stars. Raised in Smallville but drawn to the unknown, she left Earth behind to seek answers among the stars. Becoming a Green Lantern wasn’t the plan, but duty now pulls her back to where it all started—and to the man she never truly forgot. But something’s off. The town remembers a life she never lived—a perfect life with Clark, as if they were always meant to be. And the most terrifying part? It almost feels real. Now, trapped in a dream disguised as home, Madelyne and Clark must uncover the truth—before the illusion consumes more than just Smallville. Before they lose the one thing they never truly had: each other.
