Fics like Born to Bleed

“I tried, Kaladin,” Amaram said. “I thanked you. I was going to give you a new life. But you couldn’t just take it, could you?” Kaladin’s mouth was dry. “Take the Blade. But don’t hurt him—” “Oh, I will take the Blade,” Amaram sneered. “But it’s not enough. The truth can’t get out. It must be believed that I killed the Shardbearer.” “You can lie. Say whatever you want—” “I’m sorry, but this is what happens when darkeyes forget their place.” “NO!” Kaladin shouted. Amaram raised a hand. Two knives plunged into Adolin’s body. ⊹˙⋆ ⛧ ⋆˙⊹ ⊹˙⋆ ⛧ ⋆˙⊹ ⊹˙⋆ ⛧ ⋆˙⊹ ⊹˙⋆ ⛧ ⋆˙⊹ When Adolin takes the fall for something he didn’t do, Dalinar sends him to serve anonymously in Amaram’s army.
