Fics like Hopelessly devoted to you

Penelope Featherington and Eloise Bridgerton have been friends for years, continuing as penpals when Pen's family emigrated to Australia. One Christmas, the Bridgertons visit Penelope, and she and Eloise’s brother Colin have a short holiday romance. Weeks later and entirely unplanned, Penelope ends up back in the UK, and enrols at the same university as Colin. Will they be able to recapture that summer lovin' feeling? --- This is inspired by Grease the movie but will only loosely follow that storyline. There'll be no dance-offs, car races etc. It's not set in the 1950s, instead I'm writing about the period when I was at uni, the mid-1990s. - Finished but with an epilogue planned. - This came about when FatalFantasies_26 mentioned Grease in passing and I suddenly thought how well the Danny/Sandy reunion and rejection fitted with Colin's rejection of Penelope at the end of season 2 in Bridgerton. So an idea was hatched. Then I threw around a few ideas with FlyByFrankie and it gradually began to percolate into something.
