Fics like Safe in the Dark

Based on a 80s horror summer camp LARP I was a part of. Takes place during the beginning scene in Karate Kid 2, but it's May instead of Dec. (To make a summer camp work...) Johnny Lawrence, star pupil of Cobra Kai, just lost everything to Daniel LaRusso. His title, his girlf- ex-girlfriend, and now his summer break. When his sensei tells his parents about a summer camp away in the mountains, Johnny is forced to join Kreese at a boot camp that is definitely hiding something under its weirdly over-the-top cheerfulness and quirky group activities. And what's worse than a lake monster and a cult? Finding out that stupid first-place winner Daniel LaRusso is one of the campers he's in charge of.
