Fics like Shadow Puppets in Scarlet
They stick their fingers between the bars of your birdcage, letting the shadow of their hand play in your glow. It casts red across the floor, as if seeking to replace a stain scrubbed away by firm hand and plenty of vinegar. Their fingers curl slowly, as if testing the control over their own joints, before fanning out one by one. Time passes in the beating of your heart and the careless fall of hair across their face. “I wonder,” Kris finally speaks, something in their speech mumbled and raspy. Reclaiming a voice that had not been their own for days. “Am I your cage? Or are you mine?” (Inspired by various comics of Kris talking to the player/soul)
