Fics like Dead Ahead

A horrific virus outbreak has transformed most of the world into flesh-eating, highly intelligent zombies. Cities have been taken over, remaining survivors being forced into hiding. Carter and Alex run into one another a few days after the initial outbreak. Both of them have been through a lot, and despite their previous animosity towards each other, they team up, trying to put that aside for the sake of their survival. Carter has trouble opening up. Alex slowly breaks down the walls he’s built, and the two find out more about one another than they ever would have known prior to the apocalypse.
