Fics like The Quiet Spark

Grayson’s eighteen. New city. New team. New responsibilities. Oh and Lionel Messi might be casually haunting his every move. It’s fine. Totally fine. (It is absolutely not fine.) He came to play football, not fall into someone else’s orbit. Especially not Messi’s. Leo Messi doesn't let many people in. He never has. But when Grayson — the club’s newest, youngest signing — arrives at Barcelona, something shifts. A quiet pull. A slow build. Training sessions turn into shared conversations. Passing drills become moments of quiet understanding. And beneath it all, an unspoken tension neither of them fully knows what to do with.
