Fics like Steel Patchwork

Europol tasks Special Inspector Gesicht with discovering whether the genius surgeon the underworld calls "Black Jack" is real, and, if so, the man's true nature. Gesicht finds that Black Jack is real, and alive at that. Yet, the data that Gesicht's been given on Black Jack seems to have a bit of a discrepancy. Talking to the man himself should help Gesicht correct it.
