Fics like i lost my mind to you

Buck is finally starting to feel settled in LA, ready to try dating again, when the man who broke his heart shows up as their new probie. “So, we’re gonna get you guys out in the next half an hour. Make sure your helmets are on, okay? We’re fairly certain that it’ll be safe, not trigger any more collapses, but I don’t want it to be more risky than it already is. Okay?” “Yes, Cap.” Eddie replies. They both click off their radios and stare at each other. Buck studies Eddie’s face, finally letting himself look at all of the changes in the past seven years despite the dim lighting. Buck breaks eye contact first, forcing his eyes to stay on his helmet even as he feels the burn of Eddie’s gaze. “You heard the man, helmets on.” Buck huffs.
