Fics like Where Purity Dies--- behind Notre Dame

Claude Frollo is only 27 years old and already a feared Grand Judge at the King's Court. As a Catholic he believes that the only thing saving him from hellfire, is his discipline. One day, he meets a baptized Woman named Ayla, who is under the guardianship of the local Bishop. Her foreign appearance and her unpolished behavior toward him plunge the strict young man into a deep crisis of faith. Deep within him, what he despises most and suppresses all the more begins to burn: base carnal desires and feelings he cannot classify and therefore hates. While trying to come to terms with his sister in Christ, the cruel fanatic hunts down an escaped Roma family. The outer hunt against the innocent is, in truth, an inner hunt against himself. But what will he do when the foreign father of his obsession, tries to snatch Ayla's "pure soul" from the baptismal font of Christendom: France? This is my first fanfic. I tried to potray Frollo as realistic as possible, even if he's often very pathethic. It's hard to write him balanced. Prepare for Drama. ⚠️ Dark Gothic themes. Heavy emotional/sexual content. Religious guilt. Obsession. Psychological abuse. Power imbalance.
