The Enterprise is investigating an ion storm when mirror Kirk appears with an urgent message: mirror Spock is dead, his Resistance is foundering, and Spock must take his counterpart’s place in negotiations with the Terran Empire. Kirk, Spock, and McCoy agree to return to the mirror universe, only to find that all is not as it seems. At the same time, Kirk and Spock learn a few things about their counterparts that lead them to question the nature of their own relationship—if they can stay alive long enough to work things out. Spirk story featuring Spock & McCoy friendship, a few twists, and plenty of action.
