Fics like Sunflowers and raindrops

“What the hell - no! I just slapped the spider away, and it died, and then I got home and the next morning I’d grown half a foot taller. Thought it was puberty hitting me overnight, up until I started randomly sticking to things.” “Oh gosh, yeah, the sticking’s the worst,” Queens nods, grimacing. “I think almost dying after getting bit by a spider would’ve been the worst,” Brooklyn says. “How did you not instantly go to the ER?!” “And pay the hospital bills with what money?!” His friend pauses. “Okay- yeah, okay, fair enough. Forget I said anything.” — Or; Peter Parker, 15, has secretly been Spider-Man for a little over a year now. When Miles Morales, 14, gets bit by a radioactive spider and develops the same powers as Spider-Man, he decides to follow in his footsteps. Neither of them expected to fall in love in the process. But in the midst of navigating secret identities, developing friendships, defending the city from uprising villains and bracing against the medias’ reactions to their every move, that might just be what ends up happening. And who can blame them, really, when it feels like their souls were fated to be together from the very beginning?
