Fics like hunger

“Look,” he says, his voice low, his eyes cast down. “You’re not, like, wrong, exactly.” His cheeks are flushed a delightful pink, and Penelope thinks, not for the first time, how good he would look in makeup. He has the features for it, cheeks begging for blush and those full lips. Long, fluttering lashes. “Wh-what?” she stutters, the intoxication of having him this close making her lose it, just a little. “Since Marina, I can’t… I can’t. You know. Finish.” Penelope blinks at him. “Um. Okay.” She doesn’t know what to say. “I kind of have this pretty specific thing I need to happen for me to, you know.” God, he’s still speaking. Colin Bridgerton is talking to her about his orgasm. The negronis are suddenly making themselves known in her limbs and chest. She feels woozy. Are they really talking about this? “And usually I have a way I manage it, but since Marina it’s just not working.” He bites his lip and for the first time since he leaned over the bar, his eyes flicker to hers nervously. “It’s actually making me go a tiny bit insane, I think.” OR: Colin can't come. Penelope offers to help - as friends, of course.
