Fics like Hope and Wait

After everything, Edmond sails off into the sunset. He loves Mercedés but cannot make her happy anymore. A decision he made, and Mercedés begs to differ. She sets out to sea to find him. Reuniting of this overly dramatic goth theater kid with his one true love, who is now a cool sailor. This movie made me cry the way the book did (thank you), and this fanfic is what I think of during the end credits every time.
