Fics like 248 Minutes

Inside, Hope was sitting upright in her hospital bed, her left leg wrapped in a brace, an IV line tucked into her elbow. She looked up, confused, then startled as she saw the man behind Robby—tall, jittery, mid-thirties with a hollow-eyed stare and a grip on the gun that was far too tight. “Dr. Robby?” she asked, voice small. “It’s okay,” he said gently. “Hope, just—stay calm, alright? Everything’s going to be okay.” The man shut the door behind them and locked it with a sharp click that echoed like thunder in the small room. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- During the Fourth of July, Robby is held hostage in the ER with a patient. Outside, the rest of the PITT crew are left to pick of the pieces.
